I love being the principal at OLU! 

I started my education career in the Hickman Mills School District where I taught fifth grade for four years then I left the public school system to teach technology at St. Peters in Kansas City. After teaching technology for a year I moved to fourth grade for three years then I looped up with my students to fifth grade where I taught math and science in a block style classroom. was the proud principal at St. Regis Catholic School in Kansas City and Cathedral in St. Joseph, MO. Prior to teaching I worked in the business world for eight years where I was an office administrator and a bookkeeper. While working in the busy office setting I felt that I had a calling to become an educator and wanted nothing more than to give back to my community so I returned to Rockhurst University to earn a Master’s in Education. I am very passionate about working with students and teachers in creating the best environment for all students.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 18 years. I enjoy playing with my dogs and cooking. I have recently started baking and experimenting with different types of bread. I also enjoy spending time with my family and reading a good book.

Please know that my door is always open and I am very excited to meet everyone. Parents are our students primary educators, it is very important that we work together provide your student with the best possible education at Our Lady of Unity!
